Kanpur Metro’s second elevated package KNPCC-07. 11 bidders for



11 construction firms have submitted bids for the civil contract Kanpur Metro Phase 1S Transport Nagar Ramp-Second elevated section between Naubasta station (Package KNPCC07).

This section of 5.427 km at the eastern end of 23.785 km Line-1 (IIT Kanpur – Naubasta) has 5 elevated stations at Baradevi, Kidwai Nagar, Vasant Vihar, Boudh Nagar and Naubasta. Techpro Engineers did soil testing work between October-December 2020- View details and pictures,


The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) invited tenders for its construction in August 2021 with an estimate of Rs. 526 crores and the time limit for completion is 30 months. The contract will be funded by the European Investment Bank (EIB) through a €650 million (approximately Rs 5,600 crore) loan. Approved in July 2020,

UPMRC has renamed 3 stations. Earlier Baradevi station was called Rania station, Kidwai Nagar station was called Kendrachal station and Vasant Vihar station was called Pashupati Nagar station.

However, all the 11 bids have now been sent for technical evaluation, which may take a few months to complete. When this is done, the financial bids of the technically qualified bidders will be opened to identify who is the lowest bidder and most likely contractor.
