New Delhi, India (Urban Transport News): National High Speed ​​Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has partnered IRCON International and Dineshchandra R.R. for the design and construction of about 18 km viaduct between Anand and Sabarmati including two HSRs. Signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the joint venture of Agarwal Infracon Pvt Ltd. Stations: Ahmedabad and Sabarmati for Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed ​​Rail Corridor under MAHSR-C7 package. The total value of the contract is Rs 3,429 crore.

The scope of work under contract package C-7 includes Civil and Building Works including Testing and Commissioning on Lump Sum Price Basis, Design Build for Double Line High Speed ​​Railway covering Ahmedabad Station, Sabarmati Station, Bridges and Bridges, Crossing Bridges Includes design and manufacture. (Except fabrication and transportation of steel truss girders) and allied works between MAHSR Km. 489.467 and MAHSR Km. 507.599 in the state of Gujarat for the project for the construction of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed ​​Rail Corridor.

Tender notice for the above work was issued by NHSRCL in October, 2020. Technical Bid was opened on 23rd March 2021.

The Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed ​​Rail will pass through the Ahmedabad Railway Junction of Western Railway and connect with the Saraspur side of the existing Ahmedabad Railway Station. The Ahmedabad High Speed ​​Rail Station will be built on the existing Railway Platform No. 11 and 12.

To ensure seamless integration of Ahmedabad HSR station with other modes of rail transport, NHSRCL has designed a user friendly station layout for Ahmedabad.

An integrated building for passenger transit has been planned on the east side of the existing railway station, where passengers will be able to move from one mode to another in a rapid manner. The building will be equipped with escalators and lifts and will have several passenger convenience facilities such as booking offices, passenger lobby, tea/coffee kiosks and other facilities.

The Sabarmati HSR station will also provide seamless connectivity to the passengers as it will be connected to the upcoming Sabarmati Passenger Hub.
